My name is Stephen and I live in Hanover, MA. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I also have a Master of Education in Education/Gifted and Talented from Boston College, and a Master of Science in Communications/Library Media from Fitchburg State College. I was employed by the Boston Public Schools for over 20 years, both as a teacher and as a librarian. I enjoyed helping students in the library prepare for projects and exams by showing them how to find resources and new ideas. I tutor much the same way, by helping students find the answers they need and the necessary solutions. My favorite subject to tutor is literature: American, British, and World literature, including short stories, novels, and plays. However, I'm qualified to tutor in many different areas: creative writing, essay editing, grammar/mechanics, computer science, and literary analysis. I can also help your student prepare for the PSAT and SAT. In my free time, I'm an avid traveler, and I often visit museums. I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially on Cape Cod. I'm an animal lover, and I relax and hang out with my three dogs and two cats.
